New Autumn/Winter Cocktails

Last week we introduced you to ‘It Was A Very Good Year’ from our new cocktail list, but it’s not the only exciting new creation! In fact Bar Manager Myles Donneky and his team have created a brand new list for this Autumn/Winter, in three distinctly different sections.

Aqua Shard Signatures are the team’s take on classic cocktails including The Roastery – a smoky Manhattan based on Ron Zacapa and garnished with flamed coffee beans and cherries steeped in over-proof whiskey – and Antique Mai Tai, blending and barrel-ageing three rums including Aged Appleton Estate V/X, Myer’s and Wray & Nephew.

Our Autumnal Attractions are heavier in texture than summer’s lighter libations but big on taste, as well as being quite spectacularly presented. Autumnal Leaves, a potent mix of Remy VSOP, Auchentoshan whisky, chocolate and Tabasco, is garnished with real dried leaves and a chocolate ‘aqua shard’ plaque, while It Was A Very Good Year of course needs no introduction!

For something big on taste and texture, Winter Warmers make the perfect digestif or nightcap or of course can just be enjoyed when you’re fancying something warming! Already proving highly popular is the Cappuccino Martini, which reimagines the classic Espresso Martini by adding chocolate and a cinnamon foam.

These join our ever-popular Champagne Cocktails, designed for celebrating or simply treating yourself, among them the Pisco-based, lavender-garnished No Money For Butter which takes its unusual name from a line in the poem Warning by Jenny Joseph, and our exclusive Tanqueray TEN cocktails. Look out soon for news of our special Christmas cocktails, too!

The bar at aqua shard is open every day from midday until 1am. No reservations are taken or needed, the bar operates on a walk-in basis but please note that access is subject to capacity and may be limited at busy times.
