Whether you’re looking to get your night started or slow it down, our new Wind Up, Wind Down cocktails are the perfect companions to your London night out.

Begin with our Caribbean Colada including homemade honey & pineapple cordial, a punch of Arrak topped with refreshing coconut water and soda. Alternatively, turn up the heat with Kick Start a fiery blend of Don Julio Anejo tequila, chipotle syrup, and chilli chutney.

To slow things down try our Lavender and Lime with our very own homemade lavender & lime cordial, pineapple infused Arrak, and quinine laced Cocchi Americano with maraschino. Finally, take a soothing sip from our Calming Cognac which mixes Sauterne & camomile reduction with Hennessey and absinthe air.

Terms and conditions

A winner will be announced on our Instagram page on 24th July and notified via direct message the same day. The prize includes an aqua shard cocktail on arrival followed by a three course dinner from our À La Carte menu, a bottle of wine as chosen by our sommelier and coffee or tea for two guests. The prize must be redeemed before 30th November 2017 and is subject to availability of aqua shard. The winner will be selected at random from a ballot that comprises all the entrants names. The winner and their guest must be over the age of 18. Copyright in all entries submitted for this competition remains with the respective entrants. However, entrants agree that by submitting an entry to the competition, they grant Aqua Restaurant Group a royalty free license to republish their entry.


Spotlight on: Isle of Wight Tomatoes for British Tomato Week

Ahead of British Tomato Week, Executive Chef Dale Osborne along with kitchen team member Tom Ashmore headed south to the sunny Isle of Wight to meet with local British growers at The Tomato Stall. Dale and Tom were given a tour of one of their greenhouses and learned more about the great flavoured fruit that accompanies many of our dishes at aqua shard.

Our pastry chef Ji Sun Shin has created a Blonde chocolate mousse for guests to try that combines wild strawberry and vinegar jelly, wild strawberry sponge and a strawberry crunch. Our atrium bar will serve Cupid’s Cordial, a concoction of blended rose and raspberry water, homemade blackcurrant caviar and sparkling wine. Read more +

Enjoy a special dessert and cocktail in celebration of the British-grown Bramley apple

At aqua shard, we’re celebrating the renowned British-grown Bramley apple! Every Bramley apple can be traced back to a tree that’s over 200-years-old and is still growing in Southwell, Nottinghamshire, England. In 1809, Mary Ann Brailsford planted the first pips in her garden.

To commemorate the fine fruit, our head pastry chef Ji Sun Shin has created a special dessert for guests to try. Made of apple cheesecake, cider ice cream, pistachio crumble and apple compote, the Bramley apple adds a tangy flavour that it’s so well known for, together with its light and moist texture. Aqua Punch: our winter cocktails

This winter our Bars manager Luca Missaglia has created cocktails that work well for the colder months – a contempory Aqua twist on the classic punch.

During our research into punch we discovered a rich history of the drink, for example the word ‘punch’ comes from the Sanskrit language meaning five. Sanskrit is the sacred language of Hinduism, a religion from India. Punch was originally made up of five elements – alcohol, sugar, lemon, water, tea or spice. It was through the East India Company’s voyagers to South Asia that punch became part of British culture.

Luca wanted to tell this history through his creations and each drink is inspired by an important moment in time of the punch story.
